Project Manager

 

Summary:

The project manager is for responsible for delivering assigned projects on time and on budget. This includes the project set up and managing all the various stages of the project life cycle from timelines, budgets, communications, etc.

Responsibilities/daily tasks:

Project Development

• Takes the proposal and develops a project in accordance with the clients needs and the project specifications
• Develops and maintains project timelines, budget, resource allocation and milestones
• Guides and co-ordinates project activities and staffing on a day-to-day basis
• Ensures internal quality reviews on all deliverables and validates that the product being developed is meeting the project specifications
• Troubleshoots potential project issues through active communication with the appropriate stakeholders
• Ensures that any project is conducted in line with the standard IC Axon development and validation processes

Customer liaison

• Promotes ongoing communication with the client project team to establish a clear and shared understanding of the requirements of the proposal with the customer
• Responds to client’s requests for information and project status
• Manages all forms of change requests on projects in collaboration with supervisor and sales team

Budget and invoicing management

• Manages and reviews budget throughout the project lifecycle
• Assists in maintaining billing schedules

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in commerce, information system management, engineering or in a related discipline
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management with experience managing budgets
• Experience in storyboarding or information system design;
• Experience in web/multimedia production: web interface design, CD-Rom, video editing, animation, programming;
• Knowledge of multimedia technologies, editing tools web and development tools;
• Skills needed to succeed in this role: strong time management, organized, negotiation, creativity, detail oriented, good team player, good communication and leadership skills, problem solving and stress management;
• Computer skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS-Project
• Languages: English (written and oral), French basic

• PMP Certification
• Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare and training sectors
• Knowledge of eLearning standards and best practices

Medical Writer

 

We are currently looking for a Medical Writer to fill a contract position in Montreal. The Medical Writer is required to write and develop medical and scientific content for a variety of training programs.

Job Description:

• Develops written scripts and translates scientific concepts into a clear document that will serve as the basis for training programs according to client specifications
• Conducts background research from medical/scientific material to ensure content accuracy and legibility
• Targets written content to a given audience, i.e., pharmaceutical sales representative
• Suggests images and animations and develops storyboards
• Reviews storyboards with and other project material to ensure quality control on content and context
• Collaborates with graphic artists to produce the necessary visuals to complement the script
• Works with all team members to produce a uniform project

Skills:

• Graduate degree in medical/life sciences field (e.g., bio-medical field)
• Excellent English writing skills
• Knowledge or formal training in medical or scientific writing
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and multitask
• Computer skills: Word, Outlook, Excel, FileMaker, Internet, ReferenceManager
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
