Medical Director

Summary:

The Medical Director is primarily responsible for the understanding of the client account and the associated stakeholders (external and internal) to effectively contribute to the business success of active projects and proposals. The Medical Director is experienced in pharmaceutical sales training and is capable of the management and editing of the content of pharmaceutical training programs, live events, and product launches. This role also contributes to the overall account management for assigned clients through active cross-functional collaboration with the Project Operations team, the Learning and Design Department, and the Visual and Digital Innovation Department. The Medical Director also supports the Content management team.

Responsibilities/daily tasks:

 Corporate / Account Management responsibilities:

  • Assists in proposal and project design and makes creative recommendations
  • Assists in creating content outlines for proposals and makes recommendations regarding content and timelines
  • Leads and/or participates in scoping in partnership with the Learning & Design team
  • Contributes as a cross functional team member in business development
  • Collaborates with Sales Directors and internal stakeholders to effectively manage the account
  • Works with the client to understand needs and build a strong client relationship to support the business
  • Fosters cross-functional team/department collaboration on projects, training, and other initiatives

Project specific and department-related tasks

  • Responsible for content development and editing of medical, scientific, or marketing content in the development of pharmaceutical sales training programs
  • Participates in the preparation and delivery of complex projects, including launch curricula and live meetings
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in area of specialty
  • Leads collaboration with cross departmental project and proposal teams and external stakeholders
  • Acts as a Coach to new or assigned Content members to facilitate career development

Requirements

  • Graduate degree in science/medicine/pharmacology
  • Minimum of Seven (7) years of agency or relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales training, account management, or medical editing
  • Solid experience in blended learning for pharmaceutical sales training
  • Knowledge and experience in Instructional Design
  • Computer skills: MS Office
  • Outstanding customer service and presentation skills
  • Outstanding English (both written and oral); French working knowledge
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with changing priorities to meet deadlines (VUCA environment)
  • Project management skills
  • Valid passport as this position is subject to occasional travel out of country
